Bonny Hills CWA morning tea extravaganza 

Members of the community have helped raise money for a valuable local cause at the annual Bonny Hills Country Women's Association (CWA) morning tea.Bonny Hills CWA branch member Diane Parker said the organisation was impressed with the turnout to the event on Wednesday, September 11.
Mrs Parker said it's the the fourth year the morning tea has gone ahead, with all proceeds going to the Hastings Cancer Trust."I think it's well supported because people know the money is being used locally," she said.Over the years the event has built up a strong reputation for having delicious baked goods, including Fran Adams' famous scones.
CWA Awareness Week ran from September 1 until September 8. The aim was to put a spotlight on the issue of mental health and support services in regional, rural and remote communities.Branches were urged to promote the important of starting a "Sconversation", an informal catch up with friends on a regular basis.
The organisation wants women - and men - to Start a Sconversation as a way of encouraging people to air their feelings and boost their mental well-being.
