Celebration of "Our Stories" at Laurieton Library

Celebrations were the order of the day at Laurieton Library last Wednesday (May 31st) when the"Our Stories" Project story collection was officially presented to the Library.

Project Coordinator Jan Dennis invited both story-tellers and supporters to a morning tea and story-sharing session where a handful of courageous local folk shared their stories. One of many projects funded by the Hastings Cancer Trust, the "Our Stories" Project is a free writing/story-telling experience available to people of the Hastings / Macleay region who have been affected by cancer.

Stories connect people and promote understanding. Recording our own stories can be soothing for ourselves and inspiring to others. By sharing stories, tellers and readers can be encouraged forward on their own journey. If your life has been impacted by cancer why not share your story and support others?
