The Hastings Cancer Trust recently provide funding the The Palliative Care Unit at Wauchope District Memorial Hospital through the annual Grants Program.The hospital has purchased a couple of very special sofa beds that will enable palliative care patients to have visitors stay with them overnight in comfort during their admission. Ward Clerk Val Keating said “This is a special time for our patients and their families and we greatly appreciate your contribution to making them comfortable.”
