The Camden Haven Quilters support their local community October 16, 2019
Meet the amazing ladies from the Camden Haven Quilters group who have just raised $1000 for the Hastings Cancer Trust. The fundraising is an ongoing activity for the group who have supported many worthy local causes since their inception back in 1985. It was a real treat meet with the group and hear some lovely stories of how they have helped and supported people in the local community.If you are interested in joining the Camden Haven Quilters they meet at the Laurieton School of Arts on the corner of Bold and Laurie Streets on Wednesday and Thursday between 9-1.
The group ranges in ages from 35 to 80 and is always open to new members or visitors. They welcome anyone to come long and have a go. They are primarily a Patchwork and Quilters club and enjoy sharing their skills. The group donate quilts for charities i.e.: Ronald McDonald House, Women’s Refuge and various other charities.
